Recent developments in financialised semi-peripheries

This conference proposes to discuss recent developments of financialisation and its impacts on economic and social reproduction. Particular attention will be given to the Portuguese semi-peripheral case, including the recent evolution of the economy, specific sectors and systems of social provision and labour relations, shaping the changing and variegated nature of financialisation in the country. It will also discuss the alternatives open to semi-peripheries such as the Portuguese.
